Kobold - the modular settee that adapts to your life

Design Erwan Bouroullec

Transform your living room with Kobold: a unique and modular settee, designed to accompany you every day and sublimate your desires.

One settee, a thousand ways to live

Kobold isn't just a settee: it's a modular collection designed to adapt to all your needs and to every space. Inspired by ship's gangways, each element is functional and can be reconfigured freely to become a living platform: sitting, lying down, storing, resting... everything is possible.
Compact or unfolded, Kobold becomes the beating heart of your room, a modular island that invites creativity and comfort.

״
Lifestyles have changed. I wanted to create something that was a bit like a game, like a small boat gangway where everything is available and where you can move from one activity to another.

Kobold collection

Kobold is available in two versions:

  • Soft: soft and low, with removable fabric covers for easy maintenance.
  • Classic: firmer and more structured, for an elegant and timeless settee.

Each model can be customised and adapted, combining seating, storage, and horizontal surfaces, transforming them into a sleeping or living space according to your needs.

More than just a settee, Kobold is designed as a true piece of interior design: whether compact or more expansive, it forms an island that frees up space and adapts to any configuration.

It is made of clearly identified and easily separable materials. It's practical for everyday use, but also for recycling and maintenance.

Sustainable and technical design

Kobold is designed to last. Each model undergoes a complete lifecycle analysis, from material selection to production. The frame and seats are fully removable: covers and seating areas can be easily replaced, and the materials are selected for their durability and optimal aging.
