Discover Cinna’s new design competition.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the competition, Cinna is turning the spotlight on craftsmanship this year. Participants are invited to explore techniques from the past and present, and to draw on French know-how to create innovative design products that could be produced by Cinna, a French manufacturer and publisher awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label.
Projects should combine French know-how, innovation and a responsible approach, favouring sustainable, natural, recycled or bio-based materials, short supply chains and design choices that minimise their environmental impact.
Candidates are invited to reinterpret French craftsmanship and traditional crafts through contemporary creations that combine quality craftsmanship with new uses.
For this 20th edition, all product categories are open: accessories, lighting, occasional furniture, seating, desks, or any original proposal related to French design and craftsmanship.

Deadline for submission of applications: 20th December 2026 (despatch date, the postmark being proof).
The 20th Cinna Design Competition launches in September 2026.
Once applications close, scheduled for late December, the selection committee will review the entries and shortlist around 30 projects. These projects will then be published on marieclaire.fr, where the public will be invited to vote between January and February 2027 (dates to be confirmed).
In March 2027, the jury will meet to review the shortlisted projects and select the winners.
The selection panel will meet at the closing date for applications. They will study them and select around 30.
During a plenary meeting in March 2026, the jury will designate the 3 winners. The designers awarded by the Jury will receive:
This jury will be composed of Michel Roset, editors-in-chief of the main decor magazines, recognized designers and personalities, and influencers.
The Public Prize allows the public to vote for a project. To this end, the 30 projects selected by the Selection Committee will be submitted to a public vote on the website of our partner, Marie Claire Maison.
The winner of the Public Prize will receive €2,000.
The Public Prize will also include a prize draw organised by marieclaire.fr, with three Cinna collection prizes to be won.
The results will be announced at an award ceremony in Paris in June 2027 and published by partner media outlets.
Beyond the prize itself, the winners will gain press visibility through press releases, features, and interviews.
Cinna may also produce the selected projects and include them in its catalog, thus offering creators a genuine opportunity to launch their designs.
