Perched on the 15th and uppermost floor of a contemporary tower constructed in the old industrial harbour in Antwerp, this raw stone oasis by architect Bruno Spaas, looking out over the city and the Scheldt estuary, is a veritable haven of peace. Here, the special northern light which flows throughout the open-plan space shimmers on the wall-to-wall stone paving, echoing the play of light on the water. In this minimalist space, the soft colours of the furniture and rugs underscore the impression of living outside and inside at the same time. A natural oasis… urban, naturally.
